TOUR DESCRIPTION

Arts and Crafts in wonderful Pembrokeshire

A tour that takes craft as its main theme and includes Pembroke town with its small but bustling High Street and massive picturesque castle above the river, much admired and painted by famous landscape artists like JMW Turner.

Our studio visit takes us to the family run Lovespoon Workshop where the art of carving these unusual beautiful items is explained in a fascinating and humorous way by father and son Kerry and David Thomas. We visit fabulous Narberth with its many many colourful shops,  its galleries and unique boutiques,  making this a wonderful shopping experience. Not to mention delicious foodie treats to be had at various cafes, restaurants and shops.
The city of St Davids and birthplace of the patron saint of Wales with his magnificent church nestling in the cathedral close. The smallest city in Britain much loved by modern pilgrims and visitors today for its picturesque cottages and gardens, stunning visitor centre, galleries and cafes set around an ancient mediaeval market cross. Continuing north across the peninsular we travel through Fishguard. From here we have glimpses of the Preseli hills, Carew.

**Optional extras are guided tours of the cathedral and castle at Pembroke by arrangement and extra cost-please enquire.
