This is a fantastic opportunity to visit two of Wales’ great gardens. Firstly the fabulous National Botanic Garden with its iconic glass house and magnificent grounds and secondly, on a completely different scale, Aberglasney, the garden lost in time with its yew tunnel and rare Elizabethan cloister garden.

The National Botanic Garden of Wales

The stunning newly landscaped park and gardens of the former 18th-century Middleton Hall estate are the setting for the National Botanic Garden, which opened to the public in 2000. Central to the garden is the spectacular glasshouse designed by Sir Norman Foster, the largest single-span glasshouse in the world, which concentrates on the Mediterranean floras of the world. It is the most visited garden in Wales.

Aberglasney Aberglasney Gardens have been an inspiration to poets since 1477. The story of Aberglasney spans many centuries, but the house's origins are still shrouded in obscurity. Small but perfectly formed the garden is an absolute joy. Don’t miss the tranquil pool area, rock garden, knot garden and the spectacular and unusual Ninfarium in the ruinous part of the mansion with its orchids and tropical plants!
