This is a guided tour with that takes in two of Pembrokeshire’s stunning gardens and includes some panoramic views of the county, its countryside, castles and charm.
Picton includes 40 acres of some of the most beautiful gardens and grounds in West Wales and surrounds a most unusual ancient building, being in design half fortified manor house and half fully developed medieval castle that has become Pembrokeshire’s finest stately home. Explore woodland walks, ferns, a maze and abundant feasts of wild flowers that blend with unusual woodland shrubs from all corners of the world. Tours of this wonderful house are extremely worth while and are available subject to booking and extra charges.
Colby Woodland Garden is set in a tranquil secret valley with a rich industrial past.Spring brings carpets of bluebells, crocuses, and daffodils, then swathes of camellias, rhododendrons and azaleas, followed by hydrangeas and the summer wildflowers. Shady woodlandwalks, the wildflower meadow and colourful walled garden in summer, and the marvellous colours of acers, dogwoods and Sweet-gum in autumn.
