Commemorating the 175th Anniversary of the Chartist Uprising. Take a full day tour to explore the origins, personalities and places connected to the 1839 Uprising on the City of Newport.

The Chartist demands were:

• One man, One vote
• Secret Ballot
• Members of Parliament should not have to own land
• Payment for Members of Parliament
• Equal electoral constituencies
• Annual Parliaments

5 of the 6 demands are now taken for granted, but 22 protestors were killed in Newport in the struggle to bring change about.
