Caerphilly Castle is a medieval stone giant surrounded by walls and moats and has lost none of its impact over the centuries. It's not surprising that its used as a backdrop for many TV prgrammes and and films including Dr Who . A range of clever interpretation techniques  give visitors real insight into those who built, restored and lived in the castle. The tour continues on through the heart of industrial South Wales to the edges of the Brecon Beacons National Park to visit the Penderyn distillery for a tour and the opportunity to taste excellent Welsh whisky.
