Castell Coch and St Fagans National History Museum

A vist to the fairytale Castell Coch (the Red Castle) perched among the beech woods high above the Taff Gorge. A joint project of the Marquis of Bute and the architect William Burges it is a 19th century medieval fantasy that includes both a working portcullis and a bell pull for visitors!

The tour continues to the National History Museum - forty original buildings set in the grounds of St Fagans Castle illustrate Welsh life and architecture through the centuries.

There are opportunities for refreshments at St Fagans.

Please note that the guiding fee quoted does not include any costs associated with transport or entrance to attractions.

Entrance Fees: Castell Coch £5.50 per adult

                        National History Museum: Free

Please note that access to Castell Coch may be difficult for visitors with mobility problems. Transport around the St Fagans site can be booked in advance.
