Agincourt; Band of brothersTour ID: 231
TOUR DESCRIPTION
Shakespeare used Henry V as the voice of young leadership and persuaviseness, but what really happened at Agincourt and Harfleur? On this tour we trace some evidence of who went to France from Monmouthshire and Breconshire and the legacy it left on the county. The places that we visit are beautiful and interesting in themselves, Tretower Court, Brecon Cathedral and Raglan Castle but we link them together to paint a picture - but also a much more modern war -the Zulu wars which is also famous for its "band of brothers" at Rorke's Drift. We dive into the Military Museum at Brecon and Brecon Cathedral to be reminded of their sacrifice. This day out has something for everyone from 10 -100years old.
