Biography

English:  Wales is known as “The Land of my Fathers”, and although I grew up and live in the south east of England, my father was Welsh, and I have a strong affinity for the country.  Having spent most of my working life in the travel industry, I am qualified to guide in the city of Canterbury and South East England, South East Wales and in the rest of Wales (in German).

One of my great pleasures is showing visitors not only the well-known sites and attractions, but taking you off the beaten track, and I am always happy to make suggestions of interesting places to visit.

Living in south east England, I am ideally located to meet visitors at the Channel ports or any of London’s airports to take you there and show you around this wonderful country with its picturesque landscapes, fascinating history and many legends.

As a qualified driver-guide, with a car fully licensed and insured for paying passengers, I work both on coaches and in my luxury Jaguar car with 4 passenger seats (3 passengers sit comfortably),  So, no matter whether you are a group travelling by coach, travelling alone, or in a small party of up to four people, let me take you and show you around this amazing country which, for me, really is the Land of my Fathers.

Deutsch:  Man nennt Wales “The Land of my Fathers” (Das Land meiner Väter).  Obwohl ich in Südostengland aufgewachsen bin und immer noch lebe, war mein Vater Waliser, und ich habe eine tiefe Zuneigung zu diesem Land.  Den Großteil meines Arbeitslebens habe ich in der Reisebranche verbracht, und ich bin qualifizierter Guide für Canterbury und Südostengland sowie für Wales.

Eine meiner großen Freuden ist es, Besuchern nicht nur die bekannten Sehenswürdigkeiten zu zeigen, aber auch das, was abseits der ausgetretenen Pfade liegt, und ich bin immer bereit, Vorschläge über interessante Besuchsziele zu machen.

Da ich im Südosten Englands lebe, bin ich in der perfekten Lage, Besucher an den Fährhäfen bzw. dem Tunnel unter dem Ärmelkanal sowie an den Londoner Flughäfen aufzunehmen.  Von dort aus kann ich ihnen dieses wunderbare Land mit seinen malerischen Landschaften, faszinierender Geschichte und einer Vielfalt von Legenden näherbringen.

Als qualifizierter “Driver-Guide” mit einem Auto, das für die Personenbeförderung zugelassen und versichert ist, arbeite ich sowohl in Reisebussen wie auch mit meiner Limousine der Marke Jaguar mit 4 Fahrgastsitzplätzen (3 Fahrgäste sitzen bequem).  Egal ob Sie mit einem Reisebus unterwegs sind oder allein bzw. in einer kleinen Gruppe bis zu 4 Personen, bin ich in der Lage, Ihnen dieses fantastische Land zu zeigen, im wahrsten Sinne, das Land meiner Väter.
