Our Directors

Christine Evans

Christine began her career in tourism in North Wales with a part-time job at the age of 13! She went on to work in retail management and then project management at a senior level in training, as the national manager of Welcome Host Wales, amongst other activities with understanding the customer’s needs always to the fore. Qualifying as an all-Wales Blue Badge Guide in 2008, Christine brings her breadth of skills and knowledge to the company as bid writer and project manager.

Amanda Whitehead

Amanda is an energetic innovator, moving from corporate life in London in the late 80s to start an adventure business in Snowdonia before the Adventure Tourism sector had been invented!  As a Blue Badge Guide, Amanda now runs Conwy Tours running a variety of motor and walking tours from costumed tour to cultural and food tours in this mediaeval walled town with 5 star reviews every time.

Alison Hypher

Alison is the company’s Finance Director.  She is usually to be found carrying out her duties diligently, alongside working as a German-speaking lecturer on cruise ships around the world.  Alison began her career working within diverse finance and business roles before qualifying as a German linguistic Blue Badge Guide in 1987 and as a Culinary Certified Tourist Guide in 2020.

Our Trainers and Consultants

Our trainers are all qualified Tourist Guides and have completed the Federation Of European Tourist Guide Associations’ Train the Trainer programme, accredited to BSI EN 15565 standard: Tourism services - Requirements for the provision of professional tourist guide training and qualification programmes.

Each qualified Tourist Guide who is a member of WOTGA is regarded as a consultant and is invited to participate in tendered-for work, choosing those with the most relevant skills, knowledge and experience. We also collaborate with external experts, as needed to fulfil client needs.
