Spring in Wales 2026 — Operator Information Pack (March–May)

By: Welsh Tour Guides

Essential facts and reference data for tour operators building Spring 2026 Wales itineraries.
Updated: October 2025

Overview

Spring is a good season for travel in Wales, with longer daylight hours, fewer peak-season crowds, and landscapes bursting into life. For tour guides, spring offers flexible routing without high-season pressure.

This pack is designed as a planning reference for tour operators building itineraries that include Wales in spring 2026. It provides useful timings, access notes, opening patterns, and example touring frameworks. It is an informational resource only and does not offer operational guidance, so guides should still follow site guidance, weather checks, vehicle rules, and real-time visitor management on the day.

This pack includes:

  • Daylight and weather data (March–May 2026)
  • Public holidays and visitor flow insights
  • Tour bus and access notes for key regions
  • Example itineraries (3-day, 7-day, 10-day)
  • Town reference sheets: Cardiff, Tenby, St Davids, Conwy, Cardigan, Llangollen
  • Attraction opening patterns
  • Travel and transfer data
  • Editable guide briefing form

Daylight & Weather Reference

Daylight increases quickly through spring, starting at around 10–11 hours in early March and rising to more than 16 hours by late May. This allows for flexible routing and longer days out, especially later in the season.
