Croeso/Welcome
Telling the tales of Wales through the sights and stunning scenery of Snowdonia. I am a qualified Blue Badge guide, born and bred in north Wales. I love meeting people and love my country, especially the beautiful area of Eryri (Snowdonia) where I live so showing and sharing Wales with others is my idea of a perfect job! Giving information and telling the stories of people and places is in my blood – I’m a former journalist, adult education tutor, tourist information centre assistant and castle custodian. I’ve also worked on an acclaimed project, introducing new audiences to the national parks of Wales.
Fun, friendly, informative, entertaining. On foot, on coach, on rails. Specialities – castles, heritage, folklore.

Castles
Castles of conquer; castles of community - we have them all in north Wales. From the mighty Edward 1 castles such as the World Heritage site of Conwy, Caernarfon, Beaumaris and Harlech to the Welsh princes' castles of Cricieth, Dolbadarn and Castell y Bere, discover their stories on a guided tour of one or more.
Folklore and Traditions
We are a land of legends, stories stretching back hundreds of years, explaining our place names and much of our history. On a tour or in a talk, those legends come alive and add to the visit or occasion.
History and Prehistory
From ancient burial chambers to the 21st century, our landscape is littered with reminders of our past, each one giving a great opportunity for stories, views and, of course, great pictures.
Slate and Slate Landscape
The story of slate stretches from Wales to around the world, exporting not just the product but the people. Here in north west Wales, six slate landscapes have become Wales' fourth World Heritage site. These super six include the slate railway heritage as well as the dramatic quarries, mine and sights you can see.
Welsh Language
MY second language is Welsh and even in an English language tour, I will always include a little Welsh for our visitors to take away with them. The story of its survival is little short of a miracle, a tiny country exporting its language around the world but very nearly losing it itself.
