Biography
I’m an experienced North Wales guide, who loves to show visitors around our beautiful country. Born and raised in North Wales, I live on the stunningly beautiful and historic island of Anglesey. I have a detailed knowledge of the history and culture of North Wales, including the quirky details that bring the facts and folklore to life. We are a nation of story tellers, poets and music lovers with a rich and varied history, as well as having beautiful landscapes and beaches. My aim is to enable visitors to enjoy these aspects of Wales and having their holiday enriched by learning and enjoying both the regular visitor hotspots as well as the hidden gems, that only the locals know.

As a regular tour guide for Cruise Ship visitors to Holyhead I have a wealth of knowledge and experience of guiding with a broad sweep of insights and knowledge covering all aspects of North Wales

I regularly provide tours of the castles of North Wales, I have extensive knowledge of the origins of Welsh castles and their individual histories
Churches Chapels and Cathedrals
Spirituality, faith and religion are an integral part of Welsh history and culture. I am experienced and knowledgeable and able to provide guided tours tailored to individual needs
Coastline
The Welsh coastline is designated and Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. I am able to provide tours about all aspects of our beautiful coastline, the tides, the flora and fauna as well as stories of Shipwrecks and rescues, as well as details of our rare sea birds and mammals, beaches, lighthouses and ports.
Family History/Ancestral Tours
I have a personal history of Welsh ancestors and emigration, so have a knowledge of the history and impact. I am happy to conduct bespoke tours to help with Family History and the location of previous family members.
Folklore and Traditions
Having grown up in Wales with two Welsh parents I am particularly familiar with both local and non local Welsh Folklore and traditions. I am happy to conduct bespoke tours to meet particular or general needs to explore Welsh traditions
Gardens and Stately Homes
I have experience of and a huge interest in the Stately Homes and Gardens of North Wales. Happy to discuss and provide guidance on the local places if this is your particular interest
History and Prehistory
North Wales is an ancient land steeped in history, with plenty of sites to visit dating back to Neolithic and Bronze Ages. I have a knowledge of the sites and their historical context and enjoy being able to tell visitors about the remarkable stories which span all historical eras.
Music, Culture and Poetry
In Wales we pride ourselves on our music, our poetry and our story telling. We have our own Celtic Language and for centuries this has been at the heart of our culture. Celtic in origins it has a musicality all of its own. Tours to demonstrate and witness, or learn about our Celtic history and our contributions to art, music and literature can be arranged to suit your needs and take in the cultural hotspots of North Wales, past and present
Nature and Wildlife
North Wales is a wonderful unspoilt part of the wonderful with unique areas to learn about our wildlife and our flora and fauna. There are too many to species and areas to name, but I am happy to lead tours that will illustrate the wide variety of species which flourish in our beautiful coastal, mountainous and richly agriculture areas. There is something for everyone and tours can be meet discussed and put together for both specific interests or to experience a smorgasbord of the best!
