A circular tour on foor that starts from Mermaid Quay and its iconic buildings, crosses the barrage created to separate the freshwater lake from the Bristol Channel, continues through Penarth Marina and passing by the International Whitewater Rafting Centre returns to Mermaid Quay.

An option for a smaller group would be to continue on from Penarth Marina into the elegant seaside town of Penarth, returning to Mermaid Quay by public transport.
