Hello and Croeso from Emma Fox
Hello and coeso, welcome. I have been a tour guide since 2009 and love meeting people from around the world, sharing unforgettable historical and contemporary stories and sharing my insider knowledge.
I am qualified to guide in Manchester, the Bridgewater Canal in Salford and North Wales. Living Manchester gives me the good fortune to be able to guide in one of England's largest and most vibrant cities as well as being able to journey the short distance to guide visitors through the spectacular coast, castles and countryside of North Wales; the best of both worlds! I am your link between England's North West and North Wales.
My areas of interest are social and industrial history, civil engineering, slate heritage, gardens, Welsh traditions & culture, legends & saints, the days of slavery and empire, food & drink, Owain Glyndwr, castles of the Welsh princes and Edward I, beautiful countryside and small villages.
A couple of typical itineraries might be:
- Meet and greet at Manchester Aiport, visit to RHS Garden Bridgewater, visit to Bodnant Gardens, visit Borhyddan Hall Gardens, drop off at Bodelwyddan Hotel.
- Meet and greet at Liverpool cruise terminal, visit to Pontcysyllte aqueduct, visit to Plas Newydd Llangollen, free time Llangollen, return to Liverpool.
- Meet and greet at Piccadilly train station Manchester, visit to Manchester's UNESCO City of Literature libraries, visit to Gladstone's library at Hawarden, drop of at Hawarden B&B.
Please feel free to get in touch if you would like to discuss potential itineraries linking Manchester and the North West and North Wales, or itineraries within Wales. I look forward to meeting you. Ich spreche auch Deutsch.
