Bywgraffiad Biography

Bore Da/'Mornin' neu Pnawn Da/prynhawn! Yn wreiddiol o Orllewin Lloegr, symudais i Gymru 40 mlynedd yn ôl a byth yn edrych yn ôl. Dwi'n caru fy ngwlad fabwysiedig ac wedi magu dau blentyn Cymraeg eu hiaith yma.

Rwyf wedi bod yn gweithio fel tywysydd a rheolwr teithiau ers 25 mlynedd, yn gofalu am bob math o unigolion a grwpiau. Rwyf wrth fy modd yn dangos Cymru a Gorllewin Lloegr i bob math o ymwelwyr – o academyddion i gerddwyr. Rwy’n dod o gefndir gwledig ac wedi treulio 25 mlynedd yn gweithio fel arweinydd mynydd cymwysedig felly rwyf wrth fy modd yn gwneud teithiau o amgylch cefn gwlad boed mewn coets neu ar droed. Ond mae gen i radd hanes hefyd ac rydw i wedi gweithio i Cadw, Croeso Cymru a chynghorau lleol yn dehongli safleoedd hanesyddol lleol a chynllunio teithlenni fel eu bod yn gywir ond yn hwyl!

Being self-employed for many years, I have worked on many events and projects so with me you get the mixture of a lot of experience but flexibility and the belief that the clients’ brief counts! I project-managed the official opening of the Wales Coast Path, written copy for websites and printed literature on heritage sites and have planned and led many press trips and tour operator visits but my first love is guiding individuals or groups both for a few hours or for over a week. Book me and your group will go away knowing more about Wales and the South West of England than when they arrived but also feeling cohesive, happy and entertained with good memories of your company.

When lockdown happened and my international clients ceased, I spent the time researching and sewing an authentic Welsh lady costume and researching a story town tour “A Trail with Tales from a lady of Wales” of my home town, I also developed a food tour or this gourmet-lovers town and of course tours of the World Heritage Conwy Castle and town walks. I also have been running hikes to local prehistory sites.

Mae 'na air Cymraeg crand am ffarwelio ond rownd fan hyn da ni'n dweud ta ta – welai chi'n fuan!

Diddordebau

Amaethyddiaeth a Ffermio

I can arrange visits to a hill farm to watch the sheepdogs work, try shearing a sheep or feeding calves

Arfordir

With much of Wales' magnificent coastline away from roads the best place to see it is a hike along a beach or cliff

Cefn gwlad

Learn why farmers make stripes in grass fields or the sheep have coloured markings

Gerddi a Chartrefi Mawreddog

Visit world-class gardens, National Trust properties with a guide who'll show you the quirky and undiscovered bits

Daearyddiaeth a Daeareg

A People are formed from their landscape and in turn this is shaped by the underlying rocks and Wales has such a variety of geology from the oldest rocks in the world sticking up from pastures and lakes to the fascinating coal measures or slate beds and learn the stories about the workers that lived off them

Hanes a Rhaghanes

Walk through the hills along ancient tracks to standing stone circles, inside burial chambers or admire the view from a medieval indigenous castle as an experienced and qualified guide peoples them with fold from the past

Treftadaeth Ddiwydiannol

Be led through the eerie inclines, railways and workers cottages of the past as we hear about how folk are still making a living from these industrial sites with modern industries such as adventure tourism or art

Natur a Bywyd Gwyllt

Embedded in the locality I can take you along beach, cliff, farmland, lake or Celtic rainforest and point out the wealth of flora and fauna both indigenous or introduced from tiny lichen to the wild ponies and goats
