Welsh Quilt Centre, Wool Museum & Jen Jones shopTour ID: 92
This is a tour to discover the wonderful Textile history of Wales. We will visit the National Wool Museum at Drefach Felindre to look at the history of weaving and wool production in the area. Go to the fabulous Welsh Quilt Centre at Lampeter to see the latest exhibition and browse the fascinating shop and maybe even to chat with Jen Jones, who is the guiding light behind the centre. For more than 30 years she has been collecting Welsh quilts and it is largely her own samples that form the permanant collection. We will also go to the original 17th Century cottage at Llanybydder, where Jen Jones has more fabulous quilts and Welsh blankets. This trip is a must for Textile fans everywhere!
