Sightseeing in Swansea and the GowerTour ID: 182
Swansea and the Gower are two of my favourite places that I'd love to show you around.
Beginning at Swansea Marina there's a wealth of things to do including some great free attractions, including The National Maritime Museum, Swansea Museum and The Dylan Thomas Centre, the Marina is just a short walk from the city centre Swansea Castle and the world famous market.
The lovely thing about Swansea is it's a city built right next to a beach, and we travel along it to our next destination, the old fishing village of Mumbles a lovely spot to have lunch with some great see views, or perhaps a short stroll along the pier.
We save the best till last for in the afternoon as right next to Swansea is The Gower Peninsular the UK's first area of outstanding natural beauty. We explore its rugged coastlines, drive past its Normal Castles, and explore its Neolithic monuments. The highlight of the day is our vist to Rhosili Bay, with its miles of golden sands and stunning views of the worms head, no wonder it was voted the most beautiful beach in Britain by Tripadvisor.
