The Gower - Country and CoastTour ID: 101
A walk that takes us to parts of the Gower that most visitors never get to see.
We begin near Moorlakes Wood with its verdant canopy and Rhodedendron Blooms (dependent on time of year) heading towards Ilston Church. View its beautiful interior and stained glass windows. Continuing, we visit the remains of the oldest Baptist Chaple in Wales, then onwards towards Pennard Castle and the village that vanished beneath sand dunes, following a cataclysmic storm. Onwards again, this time to the wonderful Three Cliffs Bay, site of many a TV advert and pop video. Whether you join us on our descent to the beach or you prefer to take in the views from the higher ground, you will be astounded by the elegance and beauty of this amazing seascape.
We conclude our walk at the Gower Inn, an ideal venue to sip a glass of Real Ale while we discuss and re-live our footsteps through Britain's first "Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty".
Wet weather Clothes and good walking shoes/boots are required.
